Havering Means Business-supporting local businesses across Havering.
If you run a small or medium-sized business then joining Havering Means Business is one of the best things you can do.
Started in October 2020 by Chris Daems, it is designed to support local businesses here in Havering, giving each other a platform to showcase their work and guidance and support to help other businesses.
The group has nearly a thousand Facebook users and the same on Linked In, founder Chris chatted with the Havering Daily about Havering Means Business and its importance locally.
“It was specifically designed to support small and medium-sized businesses in Havering. We run two events a month, an online event where we get together on Zoom and share our experiences and help build better relationships.
“We also run live events at the Queen’s Theatre where we showcase many of our members and all their businesses. We also promote businesses on our website for people wanting to shop locally or want to collaborate with local businesses.”
Chris, who runs his own successful business has lived in Havering for the last 15 years and really has dedicated himself to helping local businesses grow and supporting them in their journey.
“It really is a fantastic community where we share concerns with each other and it is great to have a community to share things with. Often as a business owner, you can be quite lonely or in need of someone to run things passed and this is a great way to do that. The support network we offer is very important to our local businesses.”
On the 30th of March, Havering Means Business is hosting its first-ever Expo at the Ingrebourne Golf club in Havering. The team are very excited about this as it will give all the businesses involved the chance to showcase their work and meet people from many different communities. There will also be many networking events on the day and the chance to listen to different speeches.
This is a fantastic community business support for any small or medium-sized business interested in promoting their company locally.
Get in touch if you want to showcase your business at the event. There is only a handful of exhibition stands available, so get in touch soon. Find out all you need to know at www.hmbexpo.co.uk or by emailing Hello@haveringmeansbusiness.co.uk
