Parts of Romford were closed this morning following the death of a man on Kingsmead Avenue. Nearby streets were taped off just before 10 am, whilst police investigated the incident further.

A spokesperson for the Met Police told the Havering Daily:

“Police were called at 09:49hrs on Sunday, 27 February to reports of a man, believed to be in his 50s, found deceased on Kingsmead Avenue in Romford.

“Officers and the London Ambulance Service attended.

“Officers are in the process of contacting next of kin.

“The death is being treated as unexplained, and at this stage, is not thought to be suspicious.

“A file will be prepared for the coroner.”

    This Should not be posted on here before next of kin are informed so wrong, would you want to see online about a family member being found etc before being informed by the police.
