Emergency Medicine Consultant at Queen’s jumps in to rescue pigeon’s life.
Well done to Mohammed Fadhel an Emergency Medicine Consultant at Queen’s hospital who found a pigeon who had been badly mauled and bleeding and rushed in to save his life.
Mr Fadhel found the pigeon in his garden and using quick thinking and clinical skills, bought the bird indoors, sutured the lacerations, ably assisted by his two daughters aged 17 and 3 years old.
The bird sensed that life saving treatment was taking place and remained absolutely quiet whilst the procedure was being done on a makeshift operating table in their kitchen.
Thanks to Mr Fadhel and his daughters, the pigeon is doing well!
Well done doctor, great work!
