Five vehicle collision in Rainham
Multiple emergency service vehicles were present in Upminster Road South, Rainham today following reports of an accident where a car had collided with at least 4 other cars. One of which had spilled an unknown liquid across the road. The incident took place outside Costcutter.
A spokesperson from the MET Police said.
“At 13:37hrs on Saturday, 3 July, police were notified of a road traffic collision on Upminster Road South, Rainham by the London Ambulance Service.
Officers attended alongside paramedics and the London Fire Brigade. Up to five vehicles were involved in the collision. There were no reports of any serious injuries.
The driver of one of the vehicles was arrested on suspicion of drink driving.
One of the vehicles involved was carrying a liquid which has spilled onto the road. Closures are in place while the incident is being dealt with and motorists are encouraged to avoid the area.”
