Police pursuit in Collier Row as car fails to stop.

A man in his 30’s has been arrested for a number of driving offences after failing to stop for police. The incident took place yesterday just after 9: 30pm on Havering Road, in Collier Row.

The car failed to stop and then collided with another vehicle, injuring a teenage woman on Orange Tree Hill.

A Met police spokesperson told the Havering Daily:

“At 21:30hrs on Wednesday, 23 June, officers in a marked police car signalled for a car to pull over on Havering Road, RM1.

“The vehicle failed to stop and a pursuit was authorised. A short time later on Havering Road the vehicle, which had refused to stop, collided with another car. LAS attended and a woman in her late teens was taken to a London hospital where her injuries were declared non-life threatening.

“A man, aged in his 30s, was arrested on suspicion of a number of driving offences. He was also taken to hospital with minor injuries. He has been bailed to a date in July.”

Enquiries continue.
