Beautiful craft work placed in Elm Park stolen the day after.
Our two community crocheters who have been crocheting beautiful craft work and leaving it across our borough were left upset and saddened as one of their lovely pieces of craft was removed from a postbox in Elm Park this week.
Debbie and Kerry are known for their amazing pieces of craft that they make and secretly leave across Havering when no one is looking. The two ladies are responsible for putting a smile on many people’s faces as they place their creations with words such as ‘Be Kind’ across post boxes and other focal parts of our community.
Locals across South Hornchurch have been wondering who our mystery crocheters were that had cheered so many of us up. Sadly when they left this beautiful piece of work (shown below) in Elm Park on Easter Monday by Tuesday afternoon it was gone.

Debbie told the Havering Daily: “I can’t understand why anyone would do this, it’s no good to anyone, it has Elm Park written on it. “
Kerry said: “Honestly I’m so disappointed, one person’s selfish act has ruined it for the rest of the community.”
Let’s show our support for these ladies please who ask for nothing and give their time putting a smile on the community’s face.
Ladies you are amazing!
