East Area’s Detective Inspector Umer Iqbal is a Met Officer who has made a huge difference to our community.

Detective Inspector Iqbal works in the Domestic Violence Unit, a unit he always aspired to work in since he was a school boy.

Umer joined the Metropolitan Police in the wake of the 9/11 terror attacks where as a serving police officer he wanted to make a difference and not only has he done that but he is also an inspirational officer who has made a big impact in our community here in east London.
