Emergency services were called to Petersfield Avenue in Harold Hill earlier this afternoon following reports of a car driving into the front of a shop window.

Witnesses saw a silver car drive into the front of the Continental Food Store along Petersfield Avenue in Harold Hill.

Police and London Ambulance Service attended.

A spokesperson for the Met told the Havering Daily: “Police were called at 14:24 hours on Monday, 2 November, to reports of a road traffic collision in Petersfield Avenue, Romford.

“It was reported that a car had collided with a shop front.

“An elderly woman driver was taken to hospital – her injuries are not life-threatening.

“There were no other reported injuries.”
