Former Havering councillor arrested for child offences.

A former Havering Councillor was arrested last night for child offences following a sting by two predator hunting groups Seek and Expose and Innocent Voices.

The ex councillor was arrested last night in Rainham for suspicion of inciting sexual activity with a minor.

A spokersperson for the Met told the Havering Daily : “Police were called at around 19:58hrs on Tuesday, 6 October to an address in Rainham, Havering.

“A man, aged in his 50s, had been confronted by members of the public who had allegedly been communicating with him online by posing as children and teenagers.

“The man was arrested on suspicion of inciting sexual activity with a minor.

“He was taken into custody at an east London police station, where he remains for questioning.”
