Temporary buildings set up at Queen’s to help ease the pressure.

The NHS is responding to forecast pressure on bed spaces at our local hospitals by erecting some temporary buildings in part of the car park area in front of Queen’s hospital in Rom Valley Way, Romford.

This will include two ‘H’ shaped temporary ward blocks giving a total of 104 additional beds to provide extra clinical capacity during the covid-19 pandemic.

It’s expected that these buildings will become operational later this month.
