Youth detained carrying a large knife in Romford.

Police on patrol today Wednesday 22nd of January in Romford stopped and spoke to a group of males loitering in Oldchuch Road.

Whilst they were being spoken to, one of the males suddenly ran from police. A brief chase ensued and a male was detained and found to be on bail for a previous knifepoint robbery and had been tagged.

The male was found to be in possession of a large knife and to be in breach of his curfew.

He is currently assisting police with their enquiries.
