Bringing LGBTQ+ Pride to Romford.
The Kaleidoscope group, who support young LGBTQ+ adults and allies, will be hosting an event in the heart of Romford in early June, to celebrate Pride Month. This pride event will aim to bring the local LGBTQ+ community of Havering together to celebrate. With games, a raffle, live music, support and advice, as well as other community groups to meet on the day, there will be something for everyone. Meet the team from Kaleidoscope, the LGBT Barking and Dagenham Adult Social Network and many others who strive to create local safe spaces!
Kaleidoscope Pride will be held at the Mercury Mall in Romford, Saturday the 8th of June from 11am-3pm.
The LGBTQ+ group was set up in 2022 by local creatives who felt that Romford was in need of a social space for young queer people. Co-founder Natalie says “it brings a much needed safer space for young queer people- something that was missing when we were finding our feet as young adults”.
