Havering Police listens to residents and acts quickly to shut down property plagued with drugs and anti social behaviour.

On Friday 19 April, St Albans and St Edwards Neighbourhood Team were successful in an application for obtaining a Closure Order from Barkingside Magistrates Court for a residential address in Logan Court, Romford.
Local residents made countless calls to police regarding reports of antisocial behaviour, drugs use, littering, drugs paraphernalia, criminal damage and loud disturbances both inside the flat and around the communal areas causing months of distress to the neighbourhood.
This Closure Order has been served on the single occupier and is valid for three months allowing the resident only to reside, no visitors, only access for Local Authorities and Emergency Services.
Inspector Matt Willison said: “Thank you to local residents and partners for their ongoing support and providing us with the information that affects our communities. We whole heartedly understand how much the local residents of Logan Court were affected by this anti-social and nuisance behaviour. We are clear in our message that we will not tolerate this kind of behaviour in Havering and will take robust action where needed”.
