Driver fails to stop for police officers then proceeds to crash into lamppost.

A man was arrested in Elm Park by Havering Joint Task Force officers yesterday, Wednesday 26 June after crashing a stolen vehicle into a lamppost.

The driver had failed to stop for officers and then decided to crash the vehicle that had been stolen by burglary in Collier Row, numerous days before hand.

The driver was arrested for burglary and multiple driving offences.

The investigation continues.
