Two affectionate rescue dogs, Tucker and Vinnie, are looking for calm and patient forever homes after arriving at Dogs Trust. The charity is appealing to families in Havering and the surrounding areas to consider opening their doors to these gentle companions, each with their own unique story and personality.
Tucker: a sweet three year old Collie who needs time to feel safe
Tucker, a three year old Border Collie, is described by staff as a loving and playful dog once he has time to settle. He can be shy when meeting new people, but after gentle introductions he reveals a warm and affectionate nature.
Tucker has lived his entire life without a traditional home, so he is looking for adopters who can support him as he learns about household life for the first time. He will also need patient, calm doggy friends, as he can become excited and unsure when meeting other dogs. With steady guidance, he has the potential to flourish into a confident and happy companion.

Vinnie: a bright young Lurcher with love to give
Vinnie is a two year old Lurcher who adores meeting new people. Friendly and affectionate, he is happiest when exploring outdoors and enjoying long walks where he can sniff, investigate and burn off energy.
Although confident with humans, Vinnie can feel uneasy around other dogs. He would benefit from gentle introductions with calm canine friends who can help him build confidence. He is looking for adopters who can offer consistent training, enrichment and structure. Vinnie would be happy living with children, but hopes to be the only pet so he can have all the attention for himself.
A fresh start for two deserving dogs
Staff say Tucker and Vinnie each have enormous potential to become loyal companions for the right adopters who understand their early nervousness and are willing to give them patience and guidance.

About Dogs Trust
Dogs Trust is the UK’s largest dog welfare charity and cares for around 11,000 dogs every year across its network of 21 rehoming centres in the UK and one in Dublin. Dogs Trust has a non-destruction policy and will never put a healthy dog to sleep. The charity also focuses its efforts on understanding dogs and sharing that knowledge with the wider public to prevent problem behaviours that can result in relinquishment or abandonment. We are working towards the day when all dogs can enjoy a happy life, free from the threat of unnecessary destruction.
