Residents and tradespeople joined police and volunteers for a successful tool marking and crime prevention event in Hylands and Harrow Lodge aimed at helping the community better protect their property.
The initiative saw local officers working alongside BikeTrac to offer security marking advice for tools and equipment, making them easier to identify and far harder for thieves to sell on if stolen. A wide range of crime prevention products were also on display for residents to view.
Throughout the event there was a steady flow of people keen to take simple and practical steps to safeguard their homes, vehicles and businesses. Officers were also available to share advice on improving home security, protecting vehicles and reducing the risk of opportunistic crime.
Community volunteers played a key role in supporting the event and helping residents access information and guidance on protecting valuable equipment.
Members of the public praised the positive and proactive atmosphere, highlighting how events like this not only improve security but also strengthen neighbourhood connections, helping to keep Hylands and Harrow Lodge a safe and welcoming place for everyone.
