Police in Havering are urging residents to take extra precautions to protect their homes and vehicles as the evenings grow darker.
Inspector Connolly told the Havering Daily: “As the evenings grow darker, we remind everyone to take extra precautions to keep your property and vehicles secure. Offenders often use various methods to gain access, so please ensure all doors are locked and windows are properly secured. These simple steps can make a significant difference.”
He added: “Consider additional security measures for your home as an extra layer of protection. I encourage you to review the advice provided in the attached link for practical tips on crime prevention.”
Inspector Connolly concluded: “By raising awareness and working together as a community, we can help reduce these incidents. Wishing you all a safe and happy end to 2025, and we look forward to continuing our efforts together in 2026.”
