Yesterday, marked the centenary of the birth of Margaret Thatcher — one of the finest Prime Ministers and greatest British leaders of my lifetime.
She was also one of the kindest and most compassionate human beings I have ever had the privilege to know. I first met Mrs Thatcher in 1982, at the age of sixteen, and from that day she inspired me deeply. I will always be grateful for the encouragement she gave me and for her personal support in my journey to become the Member of Parliament for Romford.
I will never stop working to uphold the values she championed: a love of freedom, a patriotic belief in Britain, and the true conservative principles she dedicated her life to defending.
yesterday, on, the 13th of October 2025, let us all remember and celebrate the life of Margaret Thatcher — and thank this great English lady for all she did in the service of our nation.
