Havering Council To Credit £50 Reduction To Council Tax For Low Income Single Parent Households.

Havering Council has credited a £50 reduction to the Council Tax accounts of over 3,000 low-income single-parent households.

This one-off reduction, made possible through the Household Support Fund, reduces the Council Tax balance by £50 for single-parent families, providing much-needed help during the winter months.

Councillor Ray Morgon, Leader of Havering Council, said: 

“This Council tax reduction is just one of the many ways we’re supporting our most vulnerable residents during these challenging times. While the council continues to face its own financial pressures, we remain committed to doing all we can to protect and assist those in need across the borough.”
