In memory of Ricky-Ricky Hayden fund raiser held in Hornchurch.

A special Ricky Hayden fund raiser was held yesterday, Sunday 31 July at Monty’s bar in Hornchurch. This was the first fund raiser to be held for the Ricky Hayden Memorial as his family continue to campaign against knife crime.

Ricky lost his life to knife crime in 2016 and since then his mother Sue and sister April have campaigned tirelessly in the battle to stop knife crime.

Sue also donated a Daniel Baird Bleed Kit to Monty’s bar yesterday, these kits are approved by the London Ambulance Service and are vital life saving tools.

All money raised from the event will be used to purchase more bleed kits to donate to our community in a bid to stop others dying from knife crime.

Ricky’s family were joined by many friends who came to pay tribute to the much loved Ricky and show their support for his family.

Also present to give her support was Julie Taylor from the Liam Taylor Legacy who lost her grandson to knife crime in 2019.
