VIDEO: Much loved Santa’s grotto opens its doors again at the Mercury Mall.

A very popular Santa’s grotto has re-opened its doors at the Mercury Mall in Romford yesterday Monday 15 November. For the 20th year, the well known grotto has returned with the help of Queen’s Theatre pantomime stars Aladdin and Princess Jasmine.

The grotto was officially opened by Havering Mayor Councillor John Mylod who did the honours and cut the red ribbon. Within minutes of opening the grotto already had visitors waiting to see Father Christmas and a queue forming.

Following a difficult year last year with Covid and lockdown, this year has seen locals come out in style to see their seasonal hero, Father Christmas at the Mercury Mall.

Councillor Mylod addressed the eager waiting crowd and encouraged people to please come out and shop locally to support local businesses.
