Remembering all those who served.

A special service was held in Romford Market yesterday to mark Remembrance Day. The service took place at 11 am to mark the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month.

Father David Simpson from St Edward the Confessor Church in Romford market led the service that was followed by a minute’s silence to remember all those who served and gave up their lives for us.

Following the service, Father Simpson then made his way to Coronation Gardens where another short service was held in honour of the new stone at the gardens dedicated to all those who served in the Royal Navy.

The stone was placed following the call by former Deputy Lieutenant Mark Bryant to remember all those who served at sea. Mr Bryant and his wife were at the service yesterday with veterans to officially welcome the new memorial.
