Aircraft crash in Upminster.

A light aircraft is believed to have crash landed on Saturday 16 October on Aveley Road, Upminster. London Fire Brigade and police attended, a man in his 40’s is believed to have evacuated the plane and was taken to hospital by ambulance where his injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

A spokesperson for the Met police told the Havering Daily:

“Police were called by London Ambulance Service at 13:43hrs on Saturday, 16 October, to a report of an aircraft having rolled over after landing at Damyns Hall Aerodrome near Upminster.

“Officers attended along with LFB. We understand a man was taken to hospital with injuries which aren’t believed to be life-threatening.”

This week East Area police are looking for 41 year old Igors Ozolins. His whereabouts are sought in connection with failing to appear at his court hearing. Eight year old Olive and her aunt Laura Low from Rainham have delivered boxes of toys to children spending Christmas in hospital. City Limits is right on the edge of the borough, a few steps further you will be in Barking & Dagenham.
