- Adult clothes (all sizes)
- Toothbrushes

All items should be clean and of good quality. Residents are also asked to bag their items into age groups/sizes – to help speed up the relief process.
The drop-off site will be open on Thursday 2and Friday 3 September, 10am – 5pm, at 40 High Street, Romford, RM1 1HR. There will be a drop-off zone on Angel Way, before the car park.
Councillor Damian White, Leader of Havering Council, said:
“We are calling on our residents to help play their part in the Afghan relief effort by donating essential items to the HVC.
“Havering has a proud history of supporting those in need and I have no doubt that our borough will once again rally to help families forced to flee from the dreadful situation in Afghanistan.
“Anything you can give will be greatly appreciated and I am humbled that we are leading the way in London to provide this urgent help.”
Hi is there any way that someone could collect as I have a lot of toys ,adult male and female clothes ans also shoes that can do someone a good use also some jackets
I feel for these people but we have lots of our own who need better housing and who need help
Put them in the flats over Hilldene and move
The family’s who have to live there
Dirty stairs ,hallways that need repainting
Noisy neighbours children banging on windows
The Good people have to live with this
Our own should come first
It’s not – and never was immigrants or asylum seekers that cause the underfunding of social housing and the failure to deal with housing issues for existing residents. You’re thinking of the Tory council and the ten years of cuts to local government funding from the Tory government.
