The Liberty to host super summer for little heroes.

The Liberty Shopping Centre in Romford is set to send children on a marvelous mission this summer, with a host of superhero themed fun activities.

The event started this Monday 26th July to Sunday 29th August, local little stars can enjoy five weeks of free, super activities, which will take place in the centre from Monday to Friday between 10am and 4pm.

Over the five weeks of the holidays, little ones can enjoy an array of arts and crafts, fitness fun, and even a confidence building and entrepreneurial fun session with author and tutor, Melissa Titre.

The first two weeks (from 26th July) will see the return of the ‘WRS Sliding Fitness Fun’, created by the UK’s first ‘Gladiator’ winner, Weininger Irwin. WRS Sliding Fitness Fun includes resistance sliding, a sport that everyone can enjoy, regardless of physical ability or age. Sliding on a specially designed mat, the aim is to get to the end of the course before your competitors and record your time, hoping that you’ll beat the rest. What’s more, the person who achieves the fastest overall time during the two weeks will receive a £500 donation to a community group or charity of their choice.
The following three weeks will include making superhero power accessories, arts and crafts and a superhero academy, lead by author and tutor Mellissa Titre. Throughout the summer fun, there will also be the chance to WIN with a number of competitions, including the chance to win school uniform for a year and a bespoke superhero illustration.

Centre Manager at The Liberty Shopping Centre, Simon Plumb commented: “We are looking forward to welcoming little superheroes to the centre over summer.

“After what has been a tough period of time for everyone, it is great that we are able to offer fun activities for local children (and adults!) to enjoy.”
