Harold Wood station closed after concerns of suspected WW2 ordnance.


Harold Wood station and the nearby area was cordoned off earlier this morning after what was believed to be the discovery of a WW2 ordnance found during build works.

The incident happened at 10.45 am as multiple emergency vehicles were seen lining the nearby streets in Harold Wood.

A spokesperson for the Met told the Havering Daily:

“We were called at 10:45hrs after the discovery of suspected WW2 ordnance during building works.

“However it has now been fully stood down as experts have found it is not ordnance.”
