Changes to Havering Rapid Testing sites as more people test at home.

With more residents using rapid Lateral Flow Covid-19 home tests , Havering Council is closing the Collier Row and Upminster Methodist Church rapid testing sites on Wednesday 30 June.

The test sites at Rainham, Romford and Harold Hill will continue to operate.

Dr Mark Ansell, Director of Public Health, said:

“I thank residents for doing their bit by regularly testing for COVID-19.

“Home testing kits are available from over 50 locations across Havering, including many libraries and pharmacies. Test kits can also be ordered online.  Home testing is quick and easy to do, so it is not surprising that many residents are continuing to regularly home test as part of their weekly routine.

“As rates of infection are rising again, it is important that everyone keeps testing even if they do not have symptoms and so reduce the chances of spreading the virus to family, friends, and the wider community.”

Three sites remain open for rapid symptom-free testing, residents may walk in or use the booking site available. For opening times and details on how to book please go to the testing webpage below.
