BREAKING: Man in possession of two knives at Rainham Tesco.

A man was seen waving knives about just after six am this morning outside of Rainham Tesco. Staff were quick to intervene and police were straight on the scene and arrested the individual.

A Met police spokesperson said:

“Police were called to Bridge Road, Rainham at 6:10hrs to a man in possession of knives. A 37-year-old man was found with two knives by officers. It is not believed that he has attacked anyone.

“The man has been detained and taken to a local police station.”
