Harold Wood stabbing victim named and three further arrests made.


Detectives investigating the murder of 16-year-old Daniel Laskos in Harold Wood have made three further arrests in connection with the investigation.

The first, a 20-year-old man [D] was arrested on Sunday, 9 May on suspicion of murder. He remains in custody.

The second, an 18-year-old man [E], was arrested on Monday, 10 May on suspicion of murder. He has been released on bail to a date in early June.

The third, a 24-year-old [F] was arrested on Tuesday, 11 May on suspicion of murder. He has been taken into custody.

The arrests relate to a murder investigation that was launched following a fatal stabbing on Church Road in Harold Wood. Police were called to the location at 18:41hrs on Friday, 7 May following reports of a fight involving a number of people.

Officers and paramedics attended and found Daniel suffering from a stab injury. Despite the best efforts of the emergency services, he was pronounced dead at the scene at 19:07hrs.

Three other males were arrested on Friday, 7 May in connection with this incident. They are a 15-year-old male [A] and a 17-year-old male [B] who were both arrested on suspicion of murder. A 16-year-old male [C] was arrested on suspicion of affray.

‘C’ has been bailed pending further enquiries to a date in early June.

Homicide detectives from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command are investigating and enquiries remain ongoing.
