Success on graffiti removal in Elm Park.
Elm Park councillors Stephanie Nunn and Barry Mugglestone really hate graffiti in the area and make sure it is removed as quickly as possible.
Councillor Nunn told the Havering Daily: “A few years ago we didn’t have this problem in Elm Park, but sadly of late this vandalism has been increasing.
“Your Councillors make a point of photographing the graffiti and requesting for it to be removed as soon as possible. “
“When we reported the above in March, the machine was broken, but as you can see a good job has been done on cleaning up.
“It’s a more complicated process when graffiti is on private property. Havering Council has to contact the owner and apply for a waiver before they can remove the graffiti and as you can imagine, this all takes time.
“You can report graffiti on Havering’s website, the LoveCleanStreets app or let us know.”
A very big thank you to Stephanie & Barry who work tirelessly to improve Elm Park and assist the residents with important issues. Nothing is to big, nor to small for them to take on. Shame the other elected Elm Park Councillor doesn’t put in the same effort in the ward they were elected in, but then, they don’t actually live in that ward…
“A few years ago we didn’t have this problem”… Erm, there’s been graffiti in Elm Park for decades!
