Raise money for Cancer Care by Wing Walking.

If you’ve ever dreamed of flying high, then mobile cancer care charity Hope for Tomorrow is giving you the opportunity to do just that with their Wing Walk Event! 

Taking place at Damyns Hall Aerodrome in Upminster, Essex on the 17th of June, this event is about taking up the challenge of embarking on one of the amazing and exhilarating flying experiences. Guaranteed to take your breath away as you take in the beautiful views over the Essex landscape, you’ll also be raising money for a good cause. 

Hope for Tomorrow charity brings cancer care closer to patients. The charity’s mission is to make a difference to the way that patients’ treatment is delivered. The convenient mobile cancer care units help patients to fit their treatment in to their lives, not the other way round, by providing these units in different locations. 

Tina Seymour, Chief Executive of Hope for Tomorrow, explains: ‘We bring our fleet of Mobile Cancer Care Units (MCCUs) into the heart of communities, and by working closely with NHS Trusts throughout the country, we work together to help as many people as possible.  

‘We rely entirely on donations and fundraising, as we get no statutory funding, to make this possible for cancer patients who need treatment closer to home, which is so important. By getting involved in this amazing fundraising Wing Walk event, you’ll be helping cancer patients in your local area access our units, which offer a safe and convenient sanctuary to keep receiving their treatment.’ 

The Wing Walk event at Damyns Hall Aerodrome will be led by highly experienced wing walking display pilots. Taking to the skies on the top wing of one of the biplanes, participants will experience an exciting series of flypasts, zoom climbs, steep dives and banks in front of the family and friends at speeds of up to 130mph and up to 1000 feet.
