Support our Emergency Service Workers campaign. Can you donate snacks to help our 999 workers?

The Havering Daily is launching a campaign this morning to support our Emergency Service workers across the borough who are currently working under unprecedented conditions taking care of our community during this terrible pandemic.

The London Ambulance Service are currently receiving over 8,000 calls a day, as well as looking after patients at the back of their vehicles until they can be admitted to hospital. As our Emergency Services are one big family, we are seeing both firefighters and police officers now step in to help and drive ambulances to support their London Ambulance colleagues.

Today, the Havering Daily is launching a campaign to help raise snacks for our 999 community who are doing a fantastic job. This is our way of saying a huge ‘thank you‘ to the three services for being out there on the front line everyday, risking their own lives to save ours.

We are looking to collect snacks such as crisps, biscuits, chocolates, sweets or drink cartons that we can then share amongst our Emergency Service workers.

If you would like to donate to our campaign please email us at newsdesk@thehaveringdaily.co.uk or inbox us on our facebook page.

We are only looking for snacks and drink cartons that are sealed and are happy to collect them from outside homes so no Covid regulations are broken.

Items such as biscuits, crisps, snack bars, chocolates, sweets and small drink cartons or bottled water. All non perishable items that are sealed.

Let’s stand together as a community and support our Emergency Service workers.
