Romford MP welcomes new measures to improve Patient Care ahead of winter.

The Romford MP Andrew Rosindell has welcomed the new measures announced last week by the Health Secretary.

On Friday the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, The Rt Hon. Matt Hancock M.P. announced new measures to improve patient care ahead of the winter months.

Andrew Rosindell M.P. said:

“I am pleased to see the announcement of new measures to improve patient care. It is vital we get the country moving again, but in the midst of a pandemic, and with the cold and flu season imminent, additional measures and government support will be important.

Additional capital funding to expand and upgrade A&Es and a greater emphasis on the NHS’s 111 service will play a big role in ensuring the NHS isn’t overwhelmed by a potential second wave.

I am particularly pleased to see that King George Hospital will be receiving additional funds for improvements to the A&E waiting area, streaming, major trauma and resuscitation area. There will also be funds available to provide the emergency department with dedicated X-Ray facilities. Many of my constituents use the King George Hospital and I know they will be encouraged to see the government investing in their vital services.”
