Detectives investigating an incident in Rainham, are appealing for witnesses, footage or information relating to an incident where two males on mopeds attacked members of the public with knives.
Officers were initially called to Broadway, Rainham, at 2020 hrs on Tuesday, 4 August to reports of two males, riding dangerously on moped, armed with knives, attacking members of the public. Police attended but the assailants had left the scene prior to police arrival.
Officers attended with the London Ambulance Service and found a victim had sustained minor injuries to their head and leg, after reportedly being assaulted by two assailants. The victim was conveyed to hospital, where their condition was assessed as non-life-threatening, or changing, later discharged.
Detective Chief Inspector Geoff Tachauer, said: “I am appealing to the local Community. I am keen to hear from anyone who can provide information or footage relating to this incident. If you can help please don’t hesitate to contact police immediately.”
The investigation and enquiries are ongoing. Scene remains in place. Local Neighbourhood Policing Teams and Violent Suppression Unit Taskforce will be actively patrolling the vicinity.
