VIDEO: Borough bathed in sunshine to celebrate 75 years of VE Day celebrations.

The sun shone right across Havering as residents came out to celebrate 75 years of VE Day. The whole borough from north to south, east to west, came out of their homes and safely, celebrated this historic day.

Bunting and flags decorated endless houses and neighbourhoods, families stood in their front gardens and toasted this day in style. Music was played, locals chatted from one front garden to another, the festive mood was felt as Havering residents paid their respects to those who gave up their lives to give us the freedom we enjoy now.

This was indeed a day to remember as the community spirit was felt right across our borough.
