VIDEO: Storm Ciara wreaks havoc across Havering

Storm Ciara caused havoc across the borough yesterday knocking down trees, walls, roofs and fences across Havering.

Strong winds of over 60mph and heavy rain battered the borough as many people chose to stay indoors and not venture out.

Trees across many parts of the area were blown down and heavy rain left parts of Havering flooded.

With an amber weather warning in force, Havering residents heeded the warnings and stayed indoors.

Roofs and walls collapsed and some roads were closed due to fallen trees.

It is believed a roof has collapsed at Emerson Park Secondary School, leaving the school shut for the day.
